Lantern Fest

Wet jeans. Driving with no pants. Blazin' steaks. 2nd floor parking structure of Kam shopping.
Totally worth getting my jeans wet.

Graduation's over. What now?

Project grad wiped me out since I only got an hour of sleep.
Meaning, I was really cranky and I literally knocked out when I got home.

I pretty much didn't wake up until 1PM, totally missing Damien Graduation.
DAMN. But I DID make it to St. Francis Graduation.

Congrats Sherry! (And everyone else I lei'd)

But I made up my lei-ing session at Terence's house for a hang-out.

SHA's Centennial Graduating Class - Commencement Day

The day that seemed so far away has finally happened. After 4 years, I finally graduated from Sacred Hearts. It really doesn't feel like I've graduated, but I'm still really happy. It's pretty much unbelievable. My parents' hard work and sacrifice in sending me to a great school has pulled off. I accomplished my goal in graduating with honors and also receiving two awards. I love accomplishment, it's one of the best feelings in the world. Well, congratulations to all my SHA C/O 2009 ladies. We did it! Good luck with all your future endeavours. I'll miss you all. (Thank you to everyone who came to lei me. You're the best!)
High school - the best years of my life.
Looking back at the past, I feel like I've grown up so much.
I've learned from my mistakes, worked my ass off, gone through really good and bad days, and still managed to get through. I've never been so proud of myself.
But, I don't think I would've survived high school without my girls. I love them. It's going to be sad when half of them leave for college.
I have yet to make summer goals, but one of them is to most definitely make this the best one and chill with everyone before they leave for college :(

Baccalaureate Mass

Yesterday was the last day for Senior exams and everything seems to be passing by so quickly. Since I'm still sick and recovering from a cold, graduation practices have been dreadful. But apparently half the senior class is sick too. Shows how quickly a sickness can spread.
We ate lunch with the SHA sisters at Regina Pacis today and I started to feel a little sad inside after we sang our class song to them. I can't believe my four years of high school are ending and I won't be seeing the 137 girls that I see almost everyday. The days before graduation are bittersweet and kind of depressing, but I need to accept life.
Tonight was Baccalaureate Mass and also the first time the whole class was seen in their cap and gown. The mass was touching and I can't deny that I teared during Ms. Zeurn's speech. It really made me think about every women's worth and I seriously felt that it was true. I will truly miss high school. Hmph, growing up kinda sucks.
Our last graduation practice tomorrow. Then, the real thing on Saturday. Ah, wtf.
Btw,
Happy Birthday Jerald.

Good-bye, High School

My days at SHA are officially over. I can't believe time went by so quickly. I thought the senior prank this year was cute, minus the bathroom prank (putting 'out of order' on the soap dispensers and leaving a bottle of 'soap' with honey). I'm going to miss high school sooo much. I thought it'd hit me by now, but it hasn't. Aghhh. This is too unbelievable.

"One Moment in Time"

We ended school at 1PM today because of the band concert at Mamiya Theater. I went back to town and picked up Lexi at Jewel or Juice. Being the supportive friends that we are, we watched our band geeks (Kathleen and Casey) perform their last band concert. The concert was awesome, but I was really bummed that I missed the Drum line ;( Me and time aren't good together. I'm late for almost everything. But as I said, the concert was awesome and call me lame, but it made me regret dropping out of band in freshman year.

Double Celebration

Happy Mother's Day! My brother and I got my mom these really pretty sunflowers and I also gave her this cute little picture frame with our picture in it. She liked it :) Too bad I don't have a picture of her bouqet ;( In celebration of Mother's and my cousin's 6th birthday, we had a family gathering at my house. Just like all parties, we had really good food. I love my auntie's tapioca salad!

Family gatherings means I get to see this handsome feller :)
He's really adorable.

Damien Junior/Senior Prom - "Forever"

I was Delmer's date for prom. His tie matches my dress (stripes) and he didn't even know I had stripes. Pretty cool.
Filipino mafia in front of Matthew's house.
STS picture (sort of). Taking this picture was harder than it looks, which explains the disorganization.I love these hot gals. It's all about being single ;]

Overall, I enjoyed my last prom in high school. The dancing was great and it was nice seeing faces I haven't seen in a while. This is a step closer to graduation! >.<

Growing op

The beginning of May has seriously hit me in the face really hard. I realized that I only have 8 more days of class in high school. Wtf. Time seriously flies by really quickly.

Today I took my AP Spanish exam at UH Manoa and I seriously did my best for Senora Slate because she's the bomb. She packed the best variety of snacks for our break too. She gave us flaming hot cheetos, chips ahoy, mochi, and gold fish. Haha, I love her. After our exam, we went to eat Subway and I felt like having a kanack attack because it was "muy delicioso." I'm pretty excited for Spanish class now because we don't need to work and we're probably going to watch these sexual movies. Mwuaha.

On another note, I will really miss high school even if the school work is killer. I'll miss my friends and my really cool teachers. I can't believe I'm graduating so soon already. It's making me feel kind of depressed. My really close friends are leaving me for San Francisco and it makes me really sad that I can't go. I don't have enough money and the financial aid they offered was soo little. Faaaaaaack. Goodbye USF ;( I have to sacrifice my dream school to stay here. Ugh...........it's a really shitty feeling, for real. But I can't be selfish when it comes to financial difficulties.

Hopefully I get a job and save enough money to visit my friends there and transfer after two years at UH Manoa. Which reminds me, I applied somewhere that's hiring and I'm hoping they hire me for the summer. I need money. I feel bad for depending on my parents so much. Time to grow up.

The best of 3-day weekends

Since our school made tomorrow a holiday (no school), the girls and I decided to hang out after Church. We ate dinner at Kuru Kuru Sushi because that's our usual favorite sushi place. Genki sushi is overrated and their prices are getting way too high. Kuru Kuru is seriously where it's at.

We donated a $1 to the Arthritis Foundation and we all wrote our names on it. Apparently Kathleen decided to write our secret (which isn't a secret anymore) crush on the spicy tuna bowl maker. Haha.

Then we hung out until I needed to go home. Thanks to my brother for being a good sport and hanging out with us.

Makapu'u

So I pretty much drove my dad's truck (rugged) on the other side of the island at night and spent time with my Filipino and "moke" friends. It was fun being in the dark, by the ocean, and behind Misha's truck.

We decided to eat in Zippy's at Coco Marina, but apparently they close at 12. Lame. Thanks to our usual Zippy's "spot" we went to the one in Vineyard and ate dinner/breakfast. Got home at 2 because I had to drop everyone off, and the ride home was pretty quiet.
